Shara’s 3 week transformation!!

So proud of Shara !!! Just finished her 3,5 week transformation! It was a very hard work as she had to  battle back pain right from  the beginning so we had to take it slower for the first days but she didn’t give up ! Some of the workouts were harder than others ( battle ropes, stairs ..) but she put everything into her challenge and the result is showing an amazing result !
Shara still struggling with her nutrition, not eating enough  to keep up with her extra calories burned during her challenge so her metabolism slowed down a bit but hope we can sort this out soon ..
Anyway... huge congratulations Shara ❤️ You are a mega star !!

Battle Rope Partnered Pull

Sooooo ... we have two girls .. and one rope .... no problem at all 😊... so many exercises you can get from this equipment ! You will develop love- hate relationship with the rope as .. whoever tried to slam them for more than 30 sec knows what I’m talking about 😆. Sharing it between two people is easier and more manageable but still you will get extraordinary cardio / full body workout !
Just ask the girls ! 😁

Partnered battle rope walking plank

Partnered exercise is fun ... it keeps you motivated, it’s more challenging and you keep pushing your limits. Especially with battling ropes which are challenging on their own ( 12kg is definitely not easy to slam and move around 😊).
You can use ropes even for additional exercises such as this walking plank ... if you are competitive
, even better 👍🏻

Sydney encounters

Last week we managed just a quick visit to Sydney .. had to sorted out some paperwork at our embassy so we took this oppprtunity to stay at least overnight to experience the " big" City .. Perth is great place but bit quieter comparing to cities on the east coast.

We got the Red Eye flight ( 2am departure from Perth lasting  just around 3,5 hrs so we arrived bit exhausted around 8am Sydney time ... but keen to do some exploring later.
We were just lucky to arrive in time of Vivid Sydney (Festival of Lights) when the Darling Harbour was illuminated by amazing lights every night ... having dinner by the Opera House watching that beautiful show .. it was just spectacular!

The next day after we were kicked out of our hotel we headed back to the Hatbour .. as I discovered pretty affordable attraction right at the Sydney Bridge .. the Pylon Lookout ... not only a 360degrees view at the Sydney opera house and Darling Harbour but also a muzeum of history of that bridge. As we are both interested in history that was a truly worthy experience!

We climber around 200 steps to get to the complete top .. and the view was really breathtaking ! From there we could see those groups of people climbing the entire bridge ... looked very interesting but the price for that was little bit too crazy ..

In that pylon they provided a short movie about the entire history of that impressive bridge. It took whole 9 years to complete ( opened in March 1932) ... unbelievably only 13 workers died during that time .. and from that number only 2 fell from the arches .... which is truly crazy as those photos of them walking without any safety requirements promenading hundred metres above the ground .... we learned that they were very proud of their work and hold a special bond between each other ... and they did a brilliant job too!

After that we had still few hours to kill to our departure so we decided to take a ferry .. to Parramatta ! It cost about $7 and we had an entertainment for the whole 1,5 hr! Weather was just perfect, The view to the main Sydney atttactioms from the water and then going thru the canals with frequent stops .. it was actually a bus on the water ... passengers jumping on and off .. ( one of them was truly interesting ..totally unfriendly looking guy watching us suspiciously as he could hear our foreign accents and when I tried to take a selfie of me and Bassam at the stop with irresistible name of Kissing Point, he actually volunteered to take a photo of us ! He did, without any facial expression except a huge frown then gave me my phone back continuing to stare at us then he asked me where I come from ... I told him and he replied with a meaning voice. " if you going to post those photos online tell your friends this is absolutely horrible country,we don't want any more immigrants here !!! " with that he turned angrily around and furiously looked ahead till his stop came and he finally p...,d off ... what a lovely experience 😁.

When we got to Parramatta I was slightly shocked as I expected something like ordinary suburb but Instead we were welcomed by skyscrapers and busy roads .. we found the train station quickly and headed to the airport.

It was pretty hectic two days in one very busy city .. it was a great experience but honesty I so value our quiet and relaxed  little Perth, with its beautiful and calm and friendly  inhabitants ... but we will be back sometime for more adventures 😊

Friday's Bickley Bubbly Bootcamp

Every other Friday we are doing evening circuit at my friend's place. She is very busy person so there are not many days she can train with us so we just treat this session bit different... special  ... after the usual circuit and usual hard work there is a bit of reward ... each of us bring some kind of a healthy snack, we open a bottle of sparkling wine and we just hang around and chat.

I need to mention that the amount of the wine is really more like symbolic as we are all driving and last thing we want is to lose our licence 😊( and obviously gain back al the recently burned calories 😳). It's just give this "end of the working week " the special meaning ... and it's really great !

Lately we just had to make some alterations as winter is here and we are craving something hot, so our bootcamp change name to Bickey Bonfire Bootcamp .. and the staple drink is mulled wine 🍷... at least for the next few cold weeks.

Testarossa Fitness ..introduction

I think it will be a good idea to introduce Testarossa Fitness ...

Testarossa Fitness was established in 2014 right after finishing my certificate 4 for Personal training. The name truly express myself, my personality ... the name Testarossa means in Italian Red Head .. and for those who are interested in fast cars the name comes together with other one .. Ferrari ..yes .. Ferrari Testarossa perfectly express my life style ... fast, strong, vibrant, impulsive, unstoppable, challenger ...and red 😁
I knew right from the begging that my business will be located definitely outdoors ... with such a amazing  weather pretty much most of the days a year, amazing parks and beaches which are just perfect and inviting for outdoor fitness I knew straight away where my "studio" will be located ... but it doesn't mean I'm just outside trainer .. we workout at my clients houses and premises, business offices. studios, sheds .. just anywhere my clients feel comfortable in .

So here I am ... driving my blue Skoda Octavia, ( yes I know I should really stand up to my name and purchase Ferrari ... but even if that model is just amazing and sexy ..it's not very practical .. I carry so much fitness gear in my boot ..I'm not sure if I could store my Swiss ball inside a Testarossa ... hmm, maybe I should google on eBay  some roof rack for Ferrari or tow bar for a middle sized trailer ..🤔 but I think the Italians would really hate me 😂

I'm located in the Hills but visiting clients pretty much in the whole Perth region ... and I love my work ... it's a passion which grew throughout the years but definitely blossomed in 2008 when I found out that my baby son has incurable condition and he will not survive his 6 month.  Learning and living with this prognosis  made me to visit the gym more often, especially when I started to feel depressed and hopeless I found myself that hard workout can balance my thoughts .. and actually and literally give me the strength to fight .. and that was what I was doing ... that was what helped me to pull through.. and that was my cure for the AFTER time ...I knew that exercise will help me to cope with my loss .. and it DID. I went to the gym and trained and trained finding a real passion about that .. and soon I realised that THIS is what I really want to do .. THIS is my mission.. THIS is what I was born to do .. just helping people to reach their dream .. to support them .. to care about them ... this is how TESTAROSSA was born ...
